ResizeImageShrink.top compresses images entirely in your browser with the Canvas API. The photos and pictures you select are not uploaded to, stored on, or transmitted through our servers. Files never leave your device.

1. Who we are

ResizeImageShrink.top (“we”, “the site”) is a free collection of browser-based utilities. The image compressor on this site is the first tool in that collection. This policy explains what limited information the website itself may process, and your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA) and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Information we do not collect

• Your images. Compression, preview, and download happen locally in your browser. We never receive the file bytes.
• Accounts. The tool does not ask you to register, sign in, or pay.
• Tracking cookies. We do not set analytics or advertising cookies of our own.
• Sensitive personal information such as government IDs, precise geolocation, or financial account numbers.

3. Information processed automatically

• Server logs. Nginx records standard technical logs: IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp. We use these logs to keep the site secure and to fix outages. They are not linked to your images, because we never see those images. Logs are kept only as long as needed for operations and then rotated.
• Local storage. Your browser may store your last quality setting, output format, longest-side choice, and language preference in localStorage. That data stays on your device. You can clear it in your browser settings.

4. Cookies

The compressor itself does not use cookies. If we later enable a third-party ad service such as Google AdSense to keep the tools free, that provider may set cookies to measure or personalize ads. Ads will be labeled as ads and will not be disguised as tool buttons. You can control personalized ads in Google Ads Settings. We will not turn on non-essential cookies without saying so on this page.

5. CCPA / CPRA

In the past 12 months we have not sold personal information and we have not shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The only category we may hold is an identifier in server logs (IP address), used for security and site operation.

California residents may request to know, access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, and may use an authorized agent. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. We aim to respond within 45 days. Because images never reach us, deletion requests apply only to log data tied to the details you give us.

6. GDPR

If you are in the EEA or the UK, the legal basis for processing server logs is legitimate interest: keeping the site secure and reliable. Local settings stay in your browser and are not sent to us.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of personal data we hold, and the right to data portability where it applies. You may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. The site is hosted on a server that may be outside your country; only the technical logs described above are involved in that transfer, not your images.

We do not use your images or log data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects.

7. Children

The site is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Security

Pages are served over HTTPS once the certificate is in place. Image data is handled in your browser’s memory and is discarded when you close the tab, except for the download file you choose to save.

9. Changes

If we update this policy, we will change the date at the top. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
